Campervan Hire Information | DUB Camper Hire

Information

Due to the nature of hiring campervans, we do have certain house rules and terms and conditions, these can be seen below:

Insurance

We include fully comprehensive UK cover as standard and this includes drivers aged 30 to 79 with 2 years UK/EU licence (subject to terms) (other drivers on referral).

A £1,000 excess does apply as per any standard insurance cover, this will typically be taken in the form of a hold on your chosen card.

Please note that the vehicle must be returned undamaged with a full tank of fuel, the same as supplied at handover and the interior clean and in the same condition as when you took delivery of the vehicle, otherwise charges outlined may be applied.

Minimum Hire Period

Our campervans have a minimum hire period which varies depending on the time of year. The minimum hire period is set out below:

3 nights from March to October
2 nights from October to February

Cancellation Policy

Standard Travel Policy – Cancellation Charges for hires booked and/or taken from 1^st January 2023. Customers wishing to cancel their reservation will:

Receive a full refund of their deposit if cancelled more than 8 weeks (56 days) prior to rental start date, less a £50 administration fee
Receive 50% of the total hire charge if cancelled between 8 and 4 weeks prior to rental start date, less a £50 administration fee
Forfeit 100% of the total hire charge if cancelled less than 4 weeks before rental start date
Customers will always receive the option of rescheduling the booking, the credit valid for up to 6 months from the start date of the original booking. Please note we are not able to reschedule a booking for public holidays such as Christmas or Easter. Rebookings are made at a night basis and not on a seasonal rate basis.

Awning Care

The awnings are very fragile and if used in windy weather, they can cause a huge amount of damage so the awning is NOT to be used in bad weather/windy conditions. Extreme damage to the vans can occur if they are caught in the wind. If the weather is good, do not leave awning up when you go out. Awnings must not be left out over night, even if the conditions seems fair.

Driver ID tags – Tracker

To meet the requirements of the self drive hire insurance, all of our campervans require vehicle trackers in case of theft. As part of the tracker, we use vehicle driver ID tags. These must be with you when driving the van. In the event of these tags being lost, a £50 charge will be deducted from the security deposit if lost.

Additional Charges

The following additional charges are payable if appropriate:-

Should the vehicle be returned after the agreed time as stated on the rental agreement then a late fee will apply – Up to 30 minutes late: £15 – 30 to 60 minutes late: £30 – Over 60 minutes late: £100
All parking fines, other fines or penalties, speeding, tolls or any other – without exception will have an associated administration charge of £25 + Vat incurred in relation to the Vehicle during the Hire Period. You will be notified (where possible) the same day we are notified of any penalty.
A valeting or upholstery cleaning fee of £75 if the Vehicle is not returned with the interior in a clean condition.
We reserve the right to retain a £50 fee if the driver ID tags are not returned.
Our vans have a full tank of diesel on collection. If not returned full then the cost of refilling the Diesel tanks to full will be charged as per the following website, Latest petrol and diesel prices | RAC Fuel Prices | RAC Drive, plus 1.5% fee
The cost of any damage to the Vehicle or third-party property, subject to the insurance. The £1000 security deposit will not be refunded and used for the insurance excess.
Any costs incurred by Dub Camper Hire Limited because of any breach by the hirer of the terms of this agreement.
Demurrage; the daily rental rate for the period the Vehicle is off fleet; for example, for accident repairs.
Any additional costs over and above the security deposit value, should damages exceed the security deposit value. Including any parts that are missing from the inventory form.
The cost to recover a Vehicle.
In the case of gross negligence DUB Camper Hire Limited reserves the right to recover full costs in order to return the vehicle to the state in which it was handed over.
